ABOUT PCAS

• The Poornima College Alumni Society (PCAS) is an organization of PCE alumni groups and student coordinators, with a view to preserve and carry forward the fine traditions of Poornima, to strengthen the connection between the alumni at home and college. Alumni spread across India play an important role in social development and national rejuvenation.
• The great achievements they have gained showed a high reputation for their alma mater. To strengthen the cooperation between alumni, the University established the alumni society and has been working productively.
• We as a alumni society with vibrant communication actively reaches out, participates fully, and welcomes new ideas and fresh thinking. Let us stand together in uplifting the goal of PCE to offer recognised education and leadership.
• We seek to bring the alumni of Poornima College of Engineering to foster mutual relationships while stimulating & strengthening the network.

OBJECTIVE OF ALUMNI SOCIETY

• To encourage the alumni of PCE to work for improvement in awareness towards technical education in the society.
• To create a world-class organization for bringing together all the alumni of PCE and providing a forum for professional networking amongst the alumni, with present students and professors for mutual benefit in professional and/ or business areas; including employment network for new graduates or alumni looking for career upgrade/ change, and alumni displaced from the workforce.
• To organize and establish scholarship funds for the needy and deserving students.
• To encourage the alumni, we offer to take an active and abiding interest in the work and progress of the institute so as to contribute towards enhancement of the social utility of their Alma Mater.
• To inculcate the knowledge and help the passing out students in the fields of employment and motivate them towards entrepreneurship.
• To reward prizes for outstanding project work, research papers or other professional activities by the students of the institute: also to recognize outstanding social and community service by the alumni and the students.
• To undertake to organize activities of civil and charitable nature.
• To extend academic support to the institute through various networks such as “visiting faculty network”, “curriculum development network”, “industry-academia relationship building”, “distance learning network” and “academic endowment network” etc. for enhancing technological and practical knowledge of students.
• To help the students by providing learning materials required for their upgradation.
• To acquire/ purchase/ own/ take on lease/ hire anywhere in India/ abroad, temporarily or permanently any movable/ immovable property necessary/ convenient for the furtherance of the object of the PCAS.
• To do all such other lawful things as are conducive/incidental to the attainment of the above objectives and/ or beneficial in the interest of PCE, PSBM and its alumni.
• To invest/ deal with the funds and money of the PCAS. None of the above objectives is for any material gains or profit motive.

ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Poornima College Alumni Society or better call it PCAS was initiated with a mission

To develop and maintain a relationship with Alumni, students and Poornima as a whole, support and encourage these groups in their endeavours, to foster networking and communication through re-unions, functions, projects, publications, jobs and career development activities and also to maintain close cooperation and fellowship among Alumni.

To bring together all Poornima Alumni as one family, the vision has a mission to join organization by better informing, organizing, and engaging alumni, students, faculty and staff to globalize the name of Poornima.

With the blessings of Almighty & guidance of our Chairman Ar. Shashikant Singhi, Poornima College of Engineering took an initiative of uniting the former graduates for establishing an association with them. Poornima College Alumni Society was formed in the year 2005 with its 1st meeting in October 2006. In initial stages very few graduates were active in the events of Alumni Association but gradually with the constant efforts & endeavours of PCAS team, the numbers have grown significantly and now we have more than 95% active members who are connected through email and mobiles. The group became bigger in size and stronger as the years passed by and today, we have a well-established Poornima Alumni Association Office that runs in the premises of PCE campus.

We are confident that momentum gained by PCAS will enable us to achieve our targets for a better tomorrow for all Poornimaites.

Although scattered widely, you are all part of a remarkable network of performing Poornimaiets. Poornima brand ranking, image and popularity has been growing steadily over years under the leadership of Dr. S.M. Seth and his team (That too without Advertising). Moreover, our talented and enterprising Alumnus in the industry by virtue of good work and success is further strengthening the belief that Poornima is a great institution and Poornima students are in demand in industry. Through this communication, I would urge you to register yourself and ask your fellow alumni friends to enroll. The aim is to connect all of us together for mutual benefits and to become a very strong community to reckon with. This portal will allow us all to come together in one large, modern and sophisticated virtual home, appropriate for an institution with our ambitions.
